At BIASA, we are proud advocates of slow fashion, embracing practices that help us leave a lighter footprint for future generations. Every stage of our sourcing, design, sampling, and production is rooted in a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and durability.

From garments made of natural materials like linen and cotton to hand-dyed, handcrafted pieces featuring intricate detailing, each BIASA creation is thoughtfully designed to transcend trends and stand the test of time - with the right care.

To help you extend the life of your most cherished BIASA pieces, we’ve crafted the following garment care instructions for you:

Linen

Lightweight and breathable, BIASA’s most iconic pieces are made from linen.  A natural, durable fibre made from sustainable properties to ensure its longevity, linen softens over time and is perfect for warm weather.

Care
For simple linen garments, we recommend a cold hand wash or a gentle machine wash, separate from other items. For heavier garments such as blazers, we recommend either a cold hand wash or dry cleaning. Make sure to dry your garment flat in the shade and iron or steam only once completely dry. Whilst ironing, a light spritz of water will relax the fibres, making it easier to soften creases.

Cotton

Lightweight and breathable, cotton is a firm favorite at BIASA. Many of our garments are made from various types of cotton weaves, whether it be cotton mousseline which is lightweight and very soft, or cotton terranova which has more structure.

Care
A cold or gentle machine wash with similar colors is preferred for best results. Avoid tumble drying for best results. Dry flat, in the shade, and iron or steam.

Silk

Softly spun, elegant and luxurious, our silk garments and accessories are a firm favorite.

Care
We recommend dry cleaning your BIASA silk garments for the best results, as washing with water can shrink or damage pieces.

Dip Dyed Garments

These special garments are 100% cotton and are dip-dyed using a mix of natural dyes.

Care
We recommend dry cleaning your dip-dyed garments for best results. If dry cleaning is not possible, wash by hand with mild soap in cold water. Do not soak for more than one minute. Line dry (with clips), do not fold while wet. Avoid white or light colored fabrics if the garment is wet or humid as color may run.

Crinkled Cotton

The appearance of this garment is created using a traditional twist and tie method where the garment made from cotton voile is washed, twisted and then knotted. Once unwrapped, the garment reveals a unique shape and form.
