Description
BIASA has been campaigning against the use of plastic bags since its conception, creating their bespoke shopping bag that boldly expresses this idea.
In 2013 the TRASHED bag was born with BIASA's support of the initiative between Kartika Sari Dewi Soekarno foundation and Kertabumi Foundation to spread awareness on the devastating state of plastic waste in Indonesia, and the public health and environmental concerns it sprouted. The project's keynote was the screening of an incredible documentary by Candida Brady with the same name: TRASHED which premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for best documentary at the Raindance Film Festival.
This bag is a reminder that as consumers we must be mindful of our choices and if we think that waste is somebody else's problem, think again. Every piece of trash is recyclable when handled in the right way.
Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
